Learn and Share Initiative – Brazil

The ACCOSCA Learn and Share Initiative in Brazil offers African SACCO and credit union leaders an opportunity to explore one of Latin America’s most established cooperative movements, with particular emphasis on the success of federated cooperative banking systems, agricultural industrialization, shared financial infrastructure and cooperative-led enterprise development. Through institutional engagements and experiential learning, the African delegation will examine how Brazilian cooperatives achieve economies of scale, establish competitive financial institutions, integrate farmers into profitable value chains, diversify revenue streams and strengthen members’ participation in the wider economy. This international exchange seeks to inspire a new generation of African cooperative institutions capable of moving beyond traditional financial intermediation to become influential drivers of enterprise development, economic productivity, job creation and sustainable prosperity across the continent.
