Advanced Africa Development Educators (AADE) Cohort

The Advanced Africa Development Educators (AADE) Programme represents an advanced progression within the global Development Education (DE) pathway, exclusively designed for accomplished DE graduates from Africa and across the international cooperative movement who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, institutional transformation and measurable socioeconomic impact. While the foundational Development Education (DE) certification equips cooperative professionals with the knowledge, competencies and perspectives to advance cooperative values, strengthen institutional performance and champion sustainable community development, AADE builds upon this foundation by recognizing graduates who have successfully translated their DE learning into tangible and sustainable outcomes.

Progression to AADE is neither automatic nor determined solely by the completion of a DE programme. Candidates must demonstrate a distinguished threshold of post-certification impact, evidenced through meaningful contributions to institutional governance, financial inclusion, cooperative innovation, community empowerment or broader socioeconomic transformation.

Admission to AADE is strictly by invitation only, following a selective referral, assessment and verification process that considers each graduate’s professional accomplishments, leadership influence and demonstrated commitment to advancing the cooperative movement.

Through this exclusive progression, ACCOSCA seeks to nurture a distinguished network of transformational leaders capable of influencing cooperative policy, strengthening institutional resilience, advancing strategic partnerships and shaping the future of cooperative finance across Africa and beyond.

AADE is not simply the next level of Development Education; it is a recognition of impact, a distinction earned through service and an invitation to exercise greater leadership responsibility in transforming institutions, empowering communities and advancing shared prosperity.
