2023 SACCA Congress

The African Confederation of Cooperatives Savings and Credit Association (ACCOSCA), in conjunction with Botswana Savings and Credit Cooperative Association (BOSCCA) with support from the Ministry of Entrepreneurship, is organising the 23rd SACCA to Congress, scheduled to take place from 8th to 13th October 2023 at Phakalane Golf Estate Hotel in Gaborone, Botswana.

This is Africa’s largest annual event that brings together all Credit Unions in the Continent and beyond to deliberate on issues taking pre-eminence in the Co-operative Sector. ACCOSCA is dedicated to promoting financial inclusion and sustainable economic growth in Africa. It provides support and resources to cooperative savings and credit associations, vital financial institutions that serve a significant proportion of Africa’s population.

The conference will focus on “Strengthening Sustainable Financial Systems for Economic Development”. The conference aims to provide an opportunity for the various stakeholders in Africa’s cooperative sector, including policymakers, industry players, and academics, to exchange ideas, share experiences, and explore practical solutions to the persistent challenges facing SACCOs inhibiting efforts to eradicate financial exclusion in Africa. The Conference is expected to attract over 700 leaders from within and outside Africa, creating an opportune avenue to collaborate, empower, and collectively formulate ways to address members’ and communities’ challenges.
