2025 Africa SACCO Regulatory Roundtable

Regulation of SACCOs in Africa was initially feared to hamper the development and growth of the credit unions on the continent, but as ACCOSCA, we made an affirmation to use the regulatory framework in building the system and see our people benefit from professionally run SACCOs. ACCOSCA has been the convener of the Africa Regulatory Round Table (RRT), a special session where regulators in Africa discuss and collectively share practical experience when implementing the Sacco-specific regulatory framework. The African Regulatory Forum provides you with a platform where Sacco regulators can convene and have honest and deliberate conversations on how to re-establish, re-engineer, and provide adequate regulatory frameworks for their respective countries.
