Financial Inclusion for Kenya and Tanzania - (FIKT).

ACCOSCA in partnership with Visa is rolling out a 1-year project on financial inclusion for women, youth, and men in Kenya and Tanzania. Titled “Financial Inclusion in Kenya and Tanzania (FIKT)”, the project commenced on 1st January 2024 and will run through to 31st December 2024 with a possible extension of 12 months. Through this project, ACCOSCA and Visa are committed to advancing inclusive, equitable, and sustainable growth for communities in Tanzania and Kenya. The project will promote financial education, digital financial inclusion, and equity, driving sustainable commerce to strengthen the socio-economic well-being of communities in which we live and work.

The African Co-operatives Climate Action Plan

The African Confederation of Cooperative Savings and Credit Associations (ACCOSCA) and Desjardins (DID) propose to develop Climate Action Plan, adaptable to the context of SACCOs and National Associations in Africa.

The Plan otherwise referred to as (The African Co-operatives Climate Action Plan) is part of ACCOSCA’s dual role of advice and technical assistance to its members and national ministries and regulators.

The ACCOSCA-ILCUF Operational Project

The overall aim of the project is institutional strengthening and capacity building of both ACCOSCA and the Foundation, so both organizations can better support the development of strong, secure and sustainable SACCO/CU movements in Africa.

The overall goal of the Capacity Development, Financial Education, and institutional strengthening project is to support ACCOSCA in its long-term efforts to empower SACCOs in Africa.

The project known as “VOICE” will pursue innovative strategies around Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, Men, and Girls, Growth that works for everyone, Environment and climate action, and Inclusive governance.

The Improving Rural Financial Inclusion Through Cooperatives (IRFITCO) Project

The project aimed to improve sustainable rural financial inclusion through a cooperative economic system.

The National Association of Co-operative Savings & Credit Unions of Zimbabwe Capacity Building Project.

 NASCUZ project was conceptualized in 2016 following a fact-finding mission to Zimbabwe by the Irish League of Credit Unions Foundation (ILCUF) leadership to assess the potential for engagement with the credit union movement in the country.
